Meet Jordan, a Newcastle United fan who worked his way up till becoming Hotel Operations Manager at Southampton West. Read below to find out his biggest highlights after 7 years in Atlas.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your position?
So I am the Hotel Operations Manager at Holiday Inn Express Southampton West. I joined this hotel In November 2021. I am a passionate football and Newcastle United fan. I have a dog called Annie, and a cat called Harley.
Choose a highlight of working at Atlas so far?
My highlight would be the phone call from Erica telling me I had been successful for the HOM Role at Southampton. Also, I see everyone at Atlas as a work family! Everyone’s amazing. I have worked hard for over 7 years at Atlas. I joined when I was 17 years old at Exeter M5, worked as Guest Service Assistant, then nights GSA to night Supervisor and Manager. I then moved back to working day shifts, and here I am now!
If you could live in any country, where and why?
I would probably want to live in Spain, I love their culture, the food and drink, and also the weather!!
If you could stay in any of our hotels, which one would it be?
The hotel I would stay at is Holiday Inn Express Newcastle CC. as this is the closest hotel to my beloved Newcastle United!
What’s one thing you did recently you are proud of?
Becoming HOM of a hotel. This has been a massive step for me and my family, and not just the job, but moving to a different part of the country.
What motivates you?
Knowing the team here trust me and will come to me with any issues.
What is or would be your karaoke song?
If it was Xmas, then ‘’do they know it’s Xmas’’ why? I love Gavin and Stacey, this is one of the songs where Gavin and Smithy sing over the phone! Normal song got to be Sweet Caroline!
